Manitouwadge Community Revitalization Planning Study
Welcome to the community engagement hub for the Township of Manitouwadge Community Revitalization Planning Study!
People choose to live in Manitouwadge because of the connection they feel with their community. People choose to visit Manitouwadge because of the outstanding natural beauty of the area. Making improvements to the community both from a physical and economic perspective will help ensure Manitouwadge remains a community where people continue to choose to live and visit. Achieving this involves prioritizing how limited funds are allocated to several different ‘boxes’ such as:
infrastructure investments;
support of private investment by individual citizens;
support of businesses, community groups and other stakeholders investments;
encouragement of new business development.
A community’s look and feel is very important not only to existing residents but also to prospective residents, businesses and visitors. Input from the people of Manitouwadge on the allocation of increasingly limited funding will ensure the community not only remains physically appealing, but also has the resilience to withstand inevitable future challenges and attract sustainable growth.
Your input is a critical part of this process!
The ultimate goal of this study will be to support economic sustainability and community wellbeing for years to come in the Township of Manitouwadge. We need to work together to create an informed plan for community improvements that will serve the community and develop the Town's future potential.
You know your town better than anyone. Ask questions, share your ideas, speak your mind!
For detailed maps on the specific areas in Manitouwadge that this study will be looking at, please check out the Key Plan Maps on the bottom right side of this page.
The draft final Community Revitalization Plan is scheduled to be presented to Council on May 12, 2021.
